The Camping des Ecureuils is situated at the heart of Médoc 4 kilometres from the village of Hourtin and 8 kilometres from the vast ocean beaches. Three kilometres from the campsite are the shaded beaches of Hourtin Lake, the largest natural lake of soft water in France. The cycle tracks, starts 500 metres from the campsite, will lead you through the forest to the ocean, from the lake to the village or to Montalivet. The forest walks will where you might see a deer, a roebuck or a boar maybe... In the autumn the howls of the deer could accompany your nights....
