Tourist Attractions
Situated in Savoy and only attached
to France for the last 140 years,
the Tarentaise is a region of high
mountains with a wonderful variety
of scenery, dominated by magnificent
peaks that change colour with the
seasons: alpine pastures, forests, lakes
and streams gushing from the glaciers
and eternal snow … Baroque churches,
mines and museums also bear witness
to a very rich history.
Come and visit the Savoie
vineyard, situated only 80 km
from the campsite and its wines
to be tasted on the spot.
Set off along the 'Baroque Paths' to
discover ten or so churches and chapels
dating from this time.
Petit Saint Bernard Pass, a passage
used before Roman times – Splendid
view of Mont Blanc – Possible trip to
Courmayeur and the Aoste valley, 30
minutes from the pass.
Conflans: Medieval town fortified in
the 14th century. Old roads and lanes,
traditional facades.
